censorshipMuch of today's censorship emanates from private companies (big tech) and threats of cancellation from peers. What pressures drive these threats to free expression, and how can they be quelled?

Founded by Tim Barber and Mark Changizi, FreeX was motivated by the events that have transpired since March of 2020 wherein the perceived threats of a pandemic led to the greatest suspension of civil rights and economic devastation the world has seen in a generation.
Threats to free expression from emergent societal forces are not new. What's new is that, with the world now so tightly connected, mass hysterias can instantly spread across the entire globe.
This makes understanding and appreciation of the mechanisms underlying these events more important than ever, and ultimately central to our survival.
